How to Tackle Oily Skin
Oily skin makes your skin look dark, dull and unappealing. Exposure to a lot of sun, dirt and dust; eating a lot of junk, increase in the number of dead cells, changes in hormones or may be pregnancy ! Here are a few homemade methods that would help you fight oily skin.
- The one with Yoghurt –
Prepare a paste of yoghurt along with oatmeal and honey. Apply the mixture on the face. Leave it for 15 minutes. Later, wash it off with warm water. You can also use plain yoghurt for this task. Yoghurt has the ability to absorb the oil from the skin.
- The one with Tomatoes –
Take a tomato and cut it from the middle. Rub these tomatoes across your face in circular motions. Continue till the acidic juice is absorbed by the skin. Later, wash your face with cold water. This way, you get rid of the oily skin. Tomatoes have the properties of cooling and cleansing the skin which further helps in this process.
- The one with Cucumbers –
Prepare a mixture of lime juice and cucumber juice and apply it on face and hands 10 minutes before going for bath. This can get rid of sunburns too. You can also rub a slice of cucumber on your face before sleeping. Magnesium, potassium and mineral content in the cucumber are more which are ideally to deal with oily skin.
This would work if you regularly work them out. Also, the following should be taken care of simultaneously:-
- Cleanse your skin as much as you can to clear the pores of oil in your skin. It is recommended to clean it at least thrice a da. Either use plain water or use a good face wash along with it. This aids to keep your skin smooth, soft and fresh.
- It is always the best idea to remove your entire make up on the skin before you go to bed. Although you are tired after a long day at work or an energetic party, make sure that the make-up is off your face. The make-up breaks your skin and degrades the skin further.
- Having a balanced diet is a must. You must opt for healthy and homemade food over junk and spicy food. Make appoint to eat green and leafy vegetables in your diet. Add lots of leafy vegetables and fruits in your daily diet.
- Stop taking in a lot of chocolates in your body. Limit all such sugary items also, stay away from deep-fried food. That would also lead to pimples. Cut down on the intake of alcohol.
There is a positive side to the ones with oily skin. Oily skin tends to age better and develop fewer wrinkles then dry and normal skin.
A few people have oily skin as heredity. However, an attempt to tackle that too is advisable. In such a case, one must be rather extremely regular in his regime to fight dry skin. Also, desired results can be obtained if the above things are well followed.
