How to get rid of tanning?

Hiya lovelies! We all are aware of the approaching summer season. And as the summer comes, so does the time of putting on our shorts and sleeveless tops and pretty sundresses. Putting on less covering clothes after such a long while in such a hot weather, as good as it makes us feel, we tend to forget how our skin also gets affected by the tanning. Tanning is the darkening of our skin tone due to the exposure of our skin to the harmful ultra violet sun rays for long durations of time. Tanning of our skin does not actually take much time but it does take an awful amount of time aka sometimes months to get rid of this tan.

Why would you want to get rid of tanning and be precautious about it? Let me tell you why. Tanning is actually very harmful for our skin. Apart from darkening the skin tones, it also affects our skin cells in dangerous ways. Tanning for long periods of time can also lead to premature aging of the skin thereby causing wrinkles on our skin before the natural age of wrinkle appearance. In many extreme cases, these ultra violet sun rays can even lead to the dangers of skin cancer.

Here is how you can get rid of tan and save yourself against it this summer season:

  1. Application of the mixture or pack of gram flour and turmeric is seen as one of the most effective ways to get rid of tan. It acts as a bleaching agent leaving your skin fairer and clearer than before. Take the amount of gram flour based on the skin areas where you wish to get rid of tan and mix it with the about 2-3 teaspoons of turmeric in it. Add rose water to this mixture and mix it well. Put the pack on the areas you wish to cover and leave it on for about 15-20 minutes. Afterwards, take the dried pack off your skin carefully and slowly without irritating your skin. Wash it with lukewarm water and pat it dry with a soft towel. You can use it twice a week for better results.
  2. The application of wheat flour pack on your affected areas can also help in getting rid of tan as well as making it more clear and bright. Just take the wheat flour as per your need and mix it with water. Make the pack consistent enough to sit on your skin. Leave it on for 15-20 minutes. Afterwards, wash it off with lukewarm water and pat it dry with a soft towel. You can use this pack twice or thrice a week for better results.

However, apart from getting rid of tan, it is better if you act precautious enough towards it. Try to use sunscreens with a SPF higher of equal to 15 when stepping outside. Exchange your sleeveless clothes with full sleeved cotton ones. Not only it will provide you protection against sun rays but also is comfortable and lets the air reach your body.
